As March comes to a close, we take a moment to reflect on the legacy of Women’s History Month—a time dedicated to honoring the resilience, faith, intelligence, and grace of women who have shaped history with unwavering determination. From trailblazers who broke barriers to everyday heroines who nurture, lead, and inspire, we celebrate the amazing women we encounter in our lives. They are the mothers, mentors, advocates, and warriors whose strength is woven into the fabric of our communities. Their journeys remind us that courage and faith can transform pain into power and adversity into triumph.
As we step into April, we shift our focus to another critical cause—National Child Abuse Prevention Month. This mission is deeply personal to us because child abuse is one of the most heartbreaking forms of mistreatment, targeting the most vulnerable among us. We stand with and support the fearless agencies and advocates who work tirelessly to ensure children find safety, healing, and hope. Every child deserves a future free from harm, and it is our collective responsibility to be vigilant, to listen, and to act when we see the warning signs. Through awareness, prevention, and intervention, we can create a world where innocence is protected, and every child has the chance to thrive.
April is also National Poetry Month, a time to honor the poets who use their voices to uplift, encourage, and bring light to dark spaces. Poetry has long been a powerful tool for advocacy, capturing emotions, telling stories, and stirring action. Whether in spoken word, written verse, or shared narratives, poetry has the ability to awaken hearts and inspire change. We extend our deepest appreciation to the poets—past, present, and future—who craft words that heal, empower, and call us to justice.
Looking ahead, the M. Ariel Love Foundation is excited to host our Healthy Relationships Workshop on May 3, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM CST at the Sienna Branch Library. This workshop will provide valuable insights into fostering respectful and meaningful relationships, with free entry for those who register. Attendees will also have the opportunity to enter a drawing for a full glam prom makeover, making this event especially impactful for high school seniors looking forward to their big night.
Additionally, we are thrilled to announce that we will be a vendor at the Fort Bend Expo, taking place on May 3, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Fort Bend Fairgrounds - Building C. This expo is a fantastic opportunity to engage with the community, share our mission, and connect with individuals who are passionate about making a difference. We invite you to stop by our booth, learn more about our work, and find ways to get involved.
To continue making an impact, we encourage our supporters to donate in some capacity—whether through financial contributions, in-kind donations, or volunteering your time. Every act of generosity helps us extend our reach and provide essential services to those in need.
