The M. Ariel Love Foundation Joins the Fort Bend County Chamber of Commerce + Welcoming Our New Mental Health Chair!

The M. Ariel Love Foundation is proud to share a significant milestone—we are now an official Fort Bend County Chamber of Commerce member! This is more than a title; it's a powerful step forward in our mission to break the cycle of domestic violence and expand our reach within the community.

The Fort Bend County Chamber of Commerce is the region's leading voice for business advocacy and economic development. The Chamber brings local businesses, nonprofits, and civic leaders together to collaborate on initiatives that improve quality of life, promote education, and foster strong, healthy communities. Their support of nonprofit work like ours helps amplify critical social causes by connecting us with resources, partnerships, and platforms that can deepen our community impact.

By aligning with the Chamber, the M. Ariel Love Foundation strengthens our ability to raise awareness about domestic violence prevention, expand our educational outreach, and provide trauma-informed resources to individuals and families in need. This membership solidifies our place at the table as an advocate for change, safety, and holistic healing in Fort Bend County.

In that same spirit of growth, we are thrilled to introduce our newest leadership member: Ms. Shanti Hubbard, MS, LPC, who will serve as our Mental Health Chair.

Shanti brings deep compassion and an impressive psychology, counseling, and trauma recovery background. She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology with a double minor in Chemistry and Philosophy from Xavier University of Louisiana. Her research has been featured in the textbook Psychology Applied to Modern Life (11th Edition) and published in Xavier’s online journal, including titles like "Does Absence Make the Heart Grow Fonder?" and "The Relationship Between Intimacy and Sexual Health. "Read her publication here

She received her master’s in behavioral sciences from Cameron University and later earned a second master’s in forensic psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. During her professional journey, Shanti has worked directly with victims of domestic violence and sexual assault, including as an expert witness in court proceedings. She has provided neurofeedback therapy, trauma-informed counseling, and mental health support through her work with organizations such as Marie Detty New Directions and the Fort Bend Women’s Center.

Today, Shanti continues to make an impact through her private practice, using modalities such as Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT), and neurofeedback to empower survivors to reclaim their stories and move toward healing.

As our Mental Health Chair, Shanti will help reshape programming that reflects our trauma-informed mission and advocates for mental wellness in every recovery phase. Her expertise will be pivotal in ensuring we remain rooted in compassion and clinically sound practices.

With our new Chamber membership and Shanti’s voice and vision added, we are stepping into a powerful new chapter. Thank you for continuing to support our mission to educate, empower, and uplift survivors of domestic violence.

Stay connected. Stay committed. Together, we are love in action.
