4th Annual Domestic Violence & Me Workshop: What Lies Beneath – Breaking the Cycle of Silence

ree

Domestic violence doesn’t always begin with bruises. It often starts in silence, with pain tucked behind a smile, a heavy heart dressed in confidence, or a secret masked by pride. This year, the M. Ariel Love Foundation invites you to an unforgettable afternoon of healing, reflection, and artistic expression as we host our 4th Annual Domestic Violence & Me Workshop: "What Lies Beneath – Breaking the Cycle of Silence”

This year’s theme centers around the art of mask painting, a symbolic and hands-on activity designed to help participants confront what they’ve been hiding behind; whether it's fear, shame, guilt, survival, or even strength. Each brushstroke will tell a story: the things we hide, the lies we tell ourselves to cope, and the truths that need to be spoken for healing to begin.

Through this creative expression, participants will be guided in uncovering how suppression, denial, and unresolved trauma can create toxic patterns or leave us vulnerable to abuse. The workshop will include a powerful survivor testimony and insight from a certified Confidence Coach, who will offer tools to help attendees reclaim their identity and break free from the harmful cycles that secrecy often protects.

Whether you are a survivor, a support system, or someone seeking understanding...this space is for you. Come and experience what happens when we dare to take the mask off.
