A Letter from the Founder: Creating Safe Spaces Before Crisis Happens

Dear M. Ariel Love Family,
One thing I continue to believe deeply is that we should not have to wait until someone is hurting to begin teaching them what healthy love looks like.
So much of the work surrounding relationship violence happens after something has already gone wrong. That work is necessary, but prevention matters too.
What if young people learned earlier that boundaries are healthy? What if they knew that respect should never have to be earned through silence or people-pleasing? What if they understood that something feeling familiar does not automatically make it healthy? And what if adults had safe spaces to reflect on some of those same lessons?
That is the heart behind much of what we are building at the M. Ariel Love Foundation.
We want young people to have opportunities to speak, lead, ask questions, build confidence, and learn about healthy relationships before harmful patterns become normalized. We also want adults in our community to have opportunities to reflect, grow, and strengthen the way we show up in our own relationships.
This October, those two pieces of our mission come together on back-to-back days.
💜 YAC Interest Mixer - October 16
Our Youth Advisory Council gives young people a real voice in helping shape the programs, conversations, and events created for them.
We’re inviting interested youth to join us for an afternoon of fun, food, games, conversation, and an opportunity to learn what YAC is all about.
Registration is free, but required. Only 12 spots are available.

💜 Reflections of Worth - October 17
The very next day, we’ll gather for Reflections of Worth, an interactive experience centered on self-worth, healthy boundaries, communication, reflection, and personal growth.
We’ll have meaningful conversation, practical tools, and our Affirmation Mirror Experience-creating space to examine not only how we see ourselves, but also what we’ve learned to accept in our relationships.

As a mother, founder, and woman who has had to reflect on what love, boundaries, loss, healing, and purpose mean in my own life, this work is deeply personal to me.
But M. Ariel Love has grown into something much bigger than one story.
It is becoming a space where we can help another generation recognize healthy love sooner, use their voices confidently, and know that Safe Love Saves Lives.
Thank you for continuing to walk with us, share our work, bring young people into these conversations, and help us create safer, healthier communities.
With love and purpose,
Quin Levy-Flemings
