Our 2nd Annual Domestic Violence & Me 2nd workshop was a great success! It was informative, interactive and inspiring. We heard from Ms. Ashanti, a Neurofeedback technician who concentrates on the abused population and the child of a domestic violence homicide victim, Ms. Shelly.
Together, we shared were relatable moments and at times, moments of utter shock. We received gems for prevention and learned about the brain of a victim and the many angles that make fleeing complicated. We also got a chance to understand domestic violence from the eyes of a child. Ultimately, everything we learned and experienced linked back be being informed, accessing the situation and making the safest and best decision individually.
Special thanks our guest speakers and everyone who attended the workshop. There is much work to do and it takes all of us.
